Importing a 2026 Prado from China into Saudi Arabia or the UAE takes six steps: confirm the vehicle can be registered, get a quote, pay against a proforma invoice, ship, clear customs and complete conformity and registration. The most important step is the first — do it before you pay.
Step 1: Can a China-market Prado be registered in your country?
The Prado we supply is a China-market specification vehicle, built by FAW Toyota and certified for China. It is left-hand drive, which matches both countries, but Gulf countries apply their own technical regulations to imported vehicles. In Saudi Arabia, conformity is managed by SASO through the SABER platform; in the UAE, vehicle conformity falls under the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT).
Step 2: Choose the trim and request a quote
For Gulf retail, buyers usually look at the TX, WX and VX trims, which add leather, a sunroof, a 360° camera and heated and ventilated front seats. Send us the trim, quantity, colour and port and ask for a CIF quote so freight is included. See the 2026 Prado specifications.
Step 3: Approve the proforma invoice and pay
The proforma invoice (PI) lists each vehicle, the price, the trade term and the payment terms. Check every line — especially trim, colour and port — before paying. Payment goes to our company account as stated on the PI.
Step 4: Shipping to Jeddah, Dammam or Jebel Ali
Vehicles travel from China by Ro-Ro or container. For Saudi Arabia, the main options are Jeddah on the Red Sea and Dammam on the Gulf; for the UAE, Jebel Ali in Dubai is the most common port. In-stock vehicles ship within 10 working days after payment, and you receive photos at loading.
Step 5: Customs clearance
Your broker clears the vehicles using the documents we send: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and vehicle documents, plus a certificate of origin if required. Import duty and VAT are paid at this stage under local rules.
Step 6: Conformity, inspection and registration
After clearance, the vehicle completes any conformity certification and technical inspection required locally before it can be registered and plated. Your broker or local agent normally coordinates this.
